Synopsis
Thai traditional folding craft has reflected creativities and techniques that developed for centuries. As much as its unique aesthetic, it relays cultural belief and story through folding. In order to further its limitation and possibilities to approach the craft, the project aims to introduce a new perception to the traditional folding craft while remaining its cultural value. It intends to reinterpret the meaning of the traditional style and satisfaction of the practice.

Background
Thai handicraft has a deep attachment to natural immication and cultural belief reflection. It is common to notice the involvement between appreciation of nature within the craft through materials, techniques, and cultural value. Thai banana folding technique has always been part of Thai culture, from common food containment to high-class handicraft. Within the diverse folding techniques, auspicious beliefs have been applied to deepen the value of the element.
