Prior - Prototype Like a Pro

Project Overview
Most of the design toolkits available today focus mostly on guiding individuals and organizations in conducting research and generating ideas. However, there are very few toolkits that focus on the prototyping and testing process despite this phase being the critical part in launching a product or service.
Project Duration: November 2017
Team: Aryanna Martin, Nattakarn Tapasanan, Minrui Yang, Xiao Yu
Key Contribution: Concept Ideation, Prototyping, Workshop facilitation.
This toolkit aims to help individuals and
organizations identify and ask the right questions
during the prototyping and testing process.
Process and Workflow
Prototype and testing are the vital stages to examine the idea and concept. It is important to clarify the objective and implementation of each test. We have to make sure that the scope of the prototype and test cover all significant elements of the product and service. With this in mind, we create the flow and ee categorized the prototyping process into 3 aspects;
• Product testing - viability, purpose, operation, logistic
• Business concept - monetization, brand, sustainability
• Unmet expectation - implementation, user experience, risk

Go over all the categories. Using the Prioritization Spectrum, arrange the cards based on the level of criticality.

Determine the categories that you would like to test in your prototyping session.

Pick the sub-questions that fall in the categories you would like to test. Place them in the Written Worksheet.

Together with your team, write your own answers and assumptions to the questions. Put as many ideas as possible.
After the prototyping session, write down the results and answers to these questions. Identify insights and next steps for the team.
Continue prototyping and using this toolkit until the product is ready for the first launch.
